Collectors recently got a teaser of 2025 Bowman Chrome Baseball from Topps that includes some exciting new additions to the annual release that debuted all the way back in 1997.
Hobby boxes guarantee collectors two autographs.
2025 Bowman Chrome Baseball Checklist Overview
The base set will clock in at 100 cards of high-level rookies and veterans, and collectors will also find a separate 100-card checklist of Chrome Prospects, which includes the coveted “1st Bowman” cards. Top names include Andrew Salas of the Marlins and Japanese two-way prospect Shotaro Morii of the Athletics.
Among the parallels, Topps announced new Refractor colors and styles of:
- Pulsar
- Fuchsia
- Blue Wave
- Green Wave
- Black
There will also be 50 Prospects with International Refractors, a concept that debuted in the late 1990s. These cards have backgrounds featuring a player’s native country, and there are also autographed versions.

Collectors will also keep their eyes peeled for short-printed rookie cards that are part of the Red Rookie Redemption program, which allows collectors the opportunity to exchange those rookie cards later on, even years down the road, if a player meets certain criteria.
Other base variations include standard image variations, Etched In Glass, Rookie Color Run, and Image Short Prints.
