Description
Collectors have seen Panini and Silhouette together on football cards plenty of times, but for the first time ever, 2025 Panini Silhouette Football launches as an independent product.
Used as a memorabilia insert in products such as National Treasures Collegiate, Chronicles, Crown Royale, Phoenix, and Preferred, the debut Silhouette brand also leans heavily into relic cards.

Hobby boxes should deliver a combined four autographs and memorabilia cards, as well as four inserts or parallels.
2025 Panini Silhouette Football Checklist Overview
The Silhouette base cards give collectors a premium feel with two player photos — an action shot in the foreground and a headshot faded into the background. A large S-pattern twists throughout the card, and the checklist will include stars of yesterday and collegiate players with Panini NIL deals.

A defining feature of Silhouette cards in past releases is the unique shape of each patch window. Panini designs the cards with a traditional swatch shape, but its appearance is changed by die-cutting around an action photo of a player, whose arms or legs typically overlap the swatch.
Panini stays true to the approach in Silhouette Autographs, which include oversized memorabilia pieces.

Then, the swatches get even larger on unsigned Jumbo Memorabilia cards.
There will also be several autograph concepts in the product, including Profile Signatures, which utilize dual photos — an action shot and a zoomed-in look at the same photo faded into the background.

Framed Signatures are elegantly designed, placing the player inside a classic arch motif.

Rare inserts are also a calling card of this product, with several tough finds for collectors to uncover.
Base Gala inserts prominently feature a player’s jersey number, along with a pair of photos (one being a zoomed-in version of the other). In the debut basketball version of the product, the Gala cards were numbered to /8, and that holds true in football.

White Night inserts, which have been a popular SSP chase in Panini Black since 2021, make their first appearance outside of that product and bring a similar design as the 2025 Panini Black version.

Vanta is another short-printed Panini Black insert that makes the transition to Silhouette with a similar design.

Contour is another borrowed concept, but it’s much rarer in the Silhouette product. A regular insert in Panini Phoenix since 2022, Contours drops the “s” and makes the jump to Silhouette as an SSP.
