2024 Panini Contenders Football takes one of the sport’s top modern brands and gives it the familiar chromium makeover. Designs are similar and so is the focus on autographs. But Optic’s differences go beyond the metal look. The configuration is more of a high-end one with just six cards per box, two of which are autographs.
2024 Panini Contenders Optic Football Checklist Overview
Like standard Contenders, the base set uses Season Ticket for its name. Keeping with tradition, the design follows a ticket motif.
It’s the same for the Rookie Ticket Autographs, one of the key features of the product. Some of these players use on-card signatures. An abundance of parallels are available for these as well as the main set.
Other rookie autographs lean into some modern nostalgia. Throwback sets using both the 2004 and 2014 Contenders designs are among them, showcasing current rookies with designs from the past.
Among the other signature sets on the checklist are All-Time Contenders Autographs, Induction Ticket Autographs, Legendary Contenders Autographs and Rookie Patch Autographs.
2024 Contenders Optic has some other inserts as well, which combine to land one per hobby box. Lottery Ticket, Optic Illusions, Splitting Images and Up and Coming are among the more common ones. However, they’re still fairly tough given the configuration.
Legitness and Now Contending are on the opposite end as some of Optic’s tougher chase sets.
There’s also Crown Jewels and VIPs.
